According to Diario Gol James Rodriguez has told agent Jorge Mendes that he wants to join Manchester United and has instructed the 'super agent' to make the move happen. The Colombian superstar has long been linked with a transfer to Manchester United and we, according to this article at least, the players chosen destination.

Rodriguez has only managed 2 substitute appearances for Madrid in La Liga this season, which is believed to be the driver behind his desire to leave the European Champions, but I just don't see where he fits into the Manchester United line up. The games I have seen him in, he looks to be a number ten, or an attacking midfielder. He can also play wide, but I think that's making space for him, rather than his best position.
When I look to the United squad, I see him being in contention with Mata, Mkhitaryan and Rooney for that same role. So as much as I think he's a talented footballer, without one, or maybe two of those players leaving, I don't see how moving to United changes the situation he finds himself in at the moment. It makes even less sense at the prices quoted, too.
