There are countless things going through a player’s head when they’re about to kickoff at the start of a big game against title rivals, but the last thing you expect is for something to actually land on your head, especially a giant camera.
But that’s exactly what happened ahead of the Russian Premier League game between Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow on Sunday, with Spartak striker Ze Luis the victim of a falling spider cam while preparing to kickoff.
As you can see in the video above, Ze Luis was wandering around the centre circle before Sunday’s game at Zenit when the camera plummeted from above and crashed down on the back of his head.
The incident didn't affect the performance of the Cape Verde international though, as he went on to score his side's second goal. However, Zenit eventually won 4-2 and joined Spartak at the top of the Russian Premier League on 19 points with the win.
