Gareth Southgate's first England squad has left fans in a state of shock with Glen Johnson recalled for the first time in two years.
The interim England boss will take charge of upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia following Sam Allardyce's sudden departure last week.
But his first squad announcement on Sunday night seemed to stun England fans even more than Big Sam's antics did a week earlier.
The 32-year-old Stoke right-back replaces the injured Nathaniel Clyne in the squad and will be hoping to take to the field in an England shirt for the first time since the 2-1 loss to Uruguay at the 2014 World Cup.
