Well done. Somehow you’ve managed to survive the three weeks without Premier League football and have made it to the other side; your reward is France 2016.
Will this be the competition where Raheem Sterling leaves as a snake and returns an English lion? Where KDB makes being ginger, cool again? Where Mangala finds room in his pocket for Ibrahimovic (again)?
Questions, questions, all we know for sure is half of the tournament’s midfielders will be linked with Guardiola’s Manchester City side over the coming weeks. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll sign one or two along the way.
If you’re after a second national team to support, then look no further than the Red Devils (no, not *them*) of Belgium. Expect Kevin de Bruyne and Jason Denayer to link up and give us a sneak peak into a budding City bromance. Kompany will be taking up his honorary position on the sidelines, injured, and so everything feels right in the universe.
Personally, we find it hard not to support any team with David Silva playing; he will be helping Spain return to the top table of international football and probably score a few along the way.
Joe Hart is reaching his absolute peak and if we finally see an England team that performs to its abilities, City’s number one will be the man leading the boys onwards.
Guardiola is coming. The Euros are on. What a summer we have ahead of us!
