We're really excited about this, our first website, and we hope you'll enjoy spending time on here with us. First of all, I have to stress that we're in Beta mode; we've got huge plans for the website, but we can't push everything live right away, and as with any project like this it will take some time to get it exactly how we, and you want it. You're one of our first visitors and as such you are really valuable to us, and your feedback is welcome, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected] - bear with us if we're slow to respond, apparently there's some tournament going on at the moment.
Secondly, hopefully, you'll notice that we're trying to do things rather differently on here. We're very conscious that there are a lot of great football websites out there, we're fans of many of them, and we can't and don't want to replicate what others are doing. We're not journalists, we're fans, and so we thought we'd build a site which puts fans at the heart of the content. If you're already a viewer you'll know that fans and fan opinion are central to our videos; this site will take that idea further by posting fan blogs, but we're really excited about features which will analyse fan sentiment across social media in real time. On our matchday feeds (active for selected games during the Euros and then launching fully for the new Premier League season), you'll be able to see what fans are saying about the top teams and players as the game is being played; who is the most talked about, or most and least popular player on the pitch, what are fans saying about him, and which team is creating the most social media buzz.
I can't tell you exactly how the site will look in 3 months' time (we'll be listening to your feedback, so to a certain extent that's in your hands!), but I can reveal that we're already building sites on here for our club channels and we'll be launching them in time for the new season. These will be:
FullTimeDEVILS - for Manchester United fans
Chelsea Fans Channel - for Chelsea fans
Blue Moon Rising TV - Manchester City fans
Spurred On TV - Spurs fans
Real Galacticos - Real Madrid fans
Nou Nation - Barcelona fans
Launching a website isn't going to mean that we'll be slowing down on our existing channels or platforms; we know that fans expect content where and when they want it! Think of this site as a home for our best content and added exclusives, so please bookmark it, drop by regularly, and if you haven't done already, subscribe to The Football Republic on YouTube, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat and we'll hopefully see you on our videos soon!
Enjoy Euro 2016, whoever you're supporting, and thanks again for visiting.
