Manchester United are reportedly preparing a world-record £100 million transfer bid for Juventus and France star, Paul Pogba.
Pogba left United for Juventus in 2012 after he failed to pen a new deal with the Red Devils, with the Serie A giants paying just £800,000 in compensation for the midfield powerhouse.
But a return to Old Trafford could well be on the horizon, with the club set to offer a world-record transfer fee for their academy product.
Here's how Twitter reacted to Thursday's news...
100m for a player who couldn't get a game and left for free #Pogba #Madness 😂😂

Funny thing is £100m is peanuts to united these days, I couldn't give a flying fuck. Come home Pogba lad!

If you think about it though, Utd aren't actually paying £100m for Pogba. They're only paying £99.2m. Bargain.

With how the market is today – bids coming in of £38m for Odion Ighalo – I don’t think £100m for Pogba is totally unreasonable.

Don't care what it takes, United just need to sign Pogba & next year they will win the Premier League!! That makes it worth the spend! #MUFC
